People in Transition

We live in a time of great change.  Many people are in transition which often causes great stress.  The world generally does not give us time off to deal with these stressors.  Finding trustworthy guides and teachers to help us quickly transition may be the closest thing we get to the time we need.

Death of a loved one or divorce/ dissolution of long-term partnership is generally the biggest financial re-structuring that most people will deal with in a life time.  Everything changes at a time when you may be least able to emotionally handle it.  The person you may have solely relied on to do many things may no longer be with you.    Not only do you have so much more to do, but generally you have also lost your source of emotional support.

We are happy to work with you to reassess your situation, to reestablish with you goals, to work with you to create plans to help mitigate the fears you may have, to find resources and tools to help you delegate tasks, so you can get on with process of recovery.

Severance from work, retirement, dissolution of business partnerships, or sale of businesses are also great transitional periods.   We are helpful in aiding clients to reestablish new dreams, goals, and plans.  We will work with you to determine how we think you can maximize the resources you have to work with; including helping you address the impact of your actions and the potential tax ramifications of the structures you choose.

We will help educate you about the financial markets and develop investment strategies around your specific parameters for income, growth, your tax status, time horizon, tolerance for volatility/risk and need for liquidity.  We are also experienced in SRI (Socially Responsible Investing) techniques.

If you own a business, we urge you to plan in advance your exit strategy.  Having a well-planned strategy can have a huge impact on the net after-tax wealth you have.  Time is generally your friend in constructing some of the best plans.

Sometimes injury causes huge transitions.  We are familiar with working with working with victims and families of catastrophic injuries.

The earlier we can work with anyone in transition, the better.  We are happy to be your advocate and to confidentially guide and help you.  Call us to discuss your particular situation. 978-430-0150
